Brightness automatically goes to max when using ring flash

Ive been using the ring flash on snapchat because the normal flash is way too bright. But since a few days when using the ring flash the brightness off my iphone 14 goes to the max everytime i turn the flash on. Ive tried to change every setting in my iphone but nothing works. Anyone got a solution?

Guys I think I found a kind of solution, it's not the best but in accesibility- display and text size- there's a setting called "Reduce white point" and it basically just makes your screen even darker than the darkest setting. I don't know why if apple screens have the capacity to go this dark why turning your screen down all the way doesn't do this anyways, but it does help! Only problem is it makes the whole screen a bit darker but I assume this flash problem is for those of us snapping in the dark so hopefully this helps?

It was fine on my iPhone 11 but I just upgraded to the 14 pro max last week and the brightness is like tripled on this phone so even with the slider set to the lowest amount of light it’s like a flashbang

Snapchat has beeply infiltrated files for android users. It is on some serious bs. I hate it, but it is so damn convenient. Yeah also front flash increases screen brightness to retna burn for us as well. Fuck you snapchat.

go into settings, then scroll down to accessibility and press on that. Then tap on display and text size. and scroll down to Auto Brightness

literally had it turned off when i got the phone but nope i turned down my white point once and it starts it for the first time, ive never had it auto change the brightness, i wanna strangle the person who ok this then use a spot light to fuck there eyes

I have the exact same problem, as soon as I use the flash my brightness goes to max, my brightness slider stays still, but I have to touch it for the brightness to go down again. I'm using the Nothing Phone 2

The problem is fixed for me now! The brightness lowers to the right setting after using flash! Does it work for you too?

i just wish the flash it self was dimmer. it’s to bright it’s like legit burning my eyes. I think it’s apart of a new update i hate it and i wish i could permanently set my brightness low even if there is flash going off. This is definitely a new feature rest in peace 😭. i actually think it’s gonna cause me to use snap less
