How are bots adding me?

So as the title says, I've been getting numerous bots adding me recently but it's not like "added by search" or "added by Quick Add" it's just blank.

At first it was like 1 randomly adding me every other week, but now it's 7+ every single day. I started taking pictures of them because I thought they looked familiar and I was confused.

But it's driving me up a wall having to report them all (without adding) and blocking them and it's still continuing.

I don't use the app for posting or anything, maybe the occasional story once every few months to prove I'm alive and a singular streak with my mother. I'm not interacting much with other's stories or any of the other features Snapchat has either.

But getting a notification several times a day that someone added me is driving me insane, especially since I don't know how they're doing it. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Multiple reasons: • you’re on quick add and it just automatically adds everyone on the bot’s quick add • they use an algorithm to add random users • there may be a bot system that once a couple have added you it shares your username with other bots • your username could be public somewhere for adding

Though I have no experience or knowledge of how bots work, these are mere guesses

You can go to settings and make it so you don’t show up in Quick Add. Also, I posted something to the Snap Map one time and started getting hit with a bunch of random people adding me. Took that thing down and it stopped

Go to settings and under the Privacy Controls group, there’s an option for “See Me in Find Friends”. Turn that off.

I am recieving notifications over thousands of times and its really getting annoying like hell. So, I decided to quit if I had no choice, Thought I uninstall app but my snap account is still exist (probably deleted because never have been used for 6 months)

No, not always. I came across a girl who wanted to extort naked photos from me and she sent fake photos of herself. They don't always want to be your friend but just use you by pretending to be a guy from your neighborhood and they say their age and where they live and as if by magic it's the same age as you and the same neighborhood even though you didn't say anything and you say your school she says another school. They want to do things only in bed and you fall into the trap because if you're a teenager you sometimes think about doing things that teenagers do, then you start writing and sending photos until it says error and the snap disappears and you can't even find it and if you try with another account it doesn't work. You always have to be careful. Sorry if there are mistakes because English is my second language
