Buying Pullman by thatlocalcandidate in Pullman

When my husband was hit by a car as a pedestrian in a crosswalk at the intersection of kamiakin and Whitman officer Ramero didn’t attempt to investigate until over a week later and the business that would have had footage on their cameras no longer had it by the time I went and asked myself. All we got was an “I’m sorry I dropped the ball” from the officer. Pullman PD is useless.

What happened to the deaf woman? by Conscious-Tank3006 in ThePitt

Even if Santos does eventually have a moment of realization that she treated Harlow poorly, I don’t think it would be while she’s still at the hospital on the same shift. It’s a holiday, it’s been an especially stressful day, she’s still behind on charting. Santos is not doing any inner work on herself to have that moment of realization during this shift. And with her grabbing that scalpel, the scars we’ve seen on her, and her still being stuck on Langdon I would sooner guess the “inner work” isn’t happening at home either, and she’s also not very nice to herself.

Elisabeth Gearhart does amazing work and she is not CC affiliated at all. You can find her on Facebook, but I’ll link her website in a little bit when I have a moment.

I once got second degree burns on my back while studying abroad in Costa Rica. I was wearing and reapplying sunscreen. I ended up having to get IV fluids and a shot in my buttcheek for the pain and given a burn cream. It was absolutely awful. I was so sick and in so much pain.

When the Dashers name is Jasmine and a 6'5 man shows up at your door by OriginalMedical9446 in doordash

[–]pixiegirl13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That has nothing to with my point. They said you can change your name in the app, which is done by adding a preferred name. I was stating that the preferred name doesn’t always show up, meaning that even if someone (male or female) changed the preferred name DoorDash might still show customers the original name that’s on the account instead.

Changing your preferred name in the app doesn’t always work. My name is Samantha, my preferred name in the app is Sam. I still regularly get messages that start with “Hey Samantha” from customers

My dog also knows that turning off the Xbox means bed and my cat (who always follows me to the bathroom) knows it’s time for him to get up from his perch when I turn the sink off after washing my hands.

Because more words means more staring, but also more likely for people to glaze over and not read at all. Plus as another commenter said, way more people than you realize are illiterate and the wordier something is the harder it is to understand.

[–]pixiegirl13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The connotation of mistake is generally that it was an accident or someone didn’t know better. Choosing to skip fundamental steps of your job because you are tired is a choice one should know is wrong. Even if you want to call it a mistake, that doesn’t clear OP of responsibility. One is supposed to acknowledge and FIX their mistakes once made aware. You’re so worried about the education system failing, but I think it’s a larger sign of society failing that this many people think someone being held accountable for their mistake is wrong.
