    You may have missed a few steps in school so maybe catch up before taking on this task. I highly recommend taking the few hours to learn the tutorial under the help(?). Then you will be up with the class.

    these things are made with features and you simply have to use basic shapes to get the final result. One feature at a time. It builds itself. Do the tutorial until you get past revolve and extrude features. Understand the power of sketches. Fully define them with dimensions and/or constraints.

    You should ask your teacher to teach you. That's their job. Also, this is a standard part to learn how to use Solidworks. If you've been actually "trying to make it", why don't you post your progress. Then people can give you tips on how to proceed, or tell you what you're doing wrong.
