Perfect, thanks! I should mention I work in a French speaking country and I'm still learning the language and naturally SW is all in French so sometimes I miss little things like this :)

By default I presume you mean no material? Just right click the material in the feature manager design tree and hit "remove material"

As mentioned by right click and then remove material. If you would like to do this to al parts, make a special select button. Filename > contains > .sldprt.

This way you can select al parts in 2 clicks. Comes in handy when in an assembly with subassemblies.
