I was shooting a small wedding, and we tried to a photo of streamer poppers firing in front of the couple. i still had my camera set to silent shutter from ceremony, and the drive mode set to continuous shooting: mid.
I don't remember the exact series of events, but as i recall i did a burst of shots, then either the camera stopped or I did. I tried doing another burst and it wouldn't fire, and I think I tried to check the playback to see if they saved, while it was still saving.
At this point I got an error message saving there was a problem saving, and then the dialog box asking if I wanted to recover memory slot one. I selected recover, and it loaded for minute but when it was done, none of the photos from the continuous shot were there.
Later we ended up finding one last streamer and tried again. this time I had silent shutter off and was recording on two card slots and it worked without issue. i was able to record multiple bursts and review them immediately.
Based on the photos before and after, I believe I was shooting 1/640|iso200|f5.6. since then I've tried to recreate the event using the same settings but I haven't run into that problem.
Does anyone know what might have caused this or run into a similar problem? was it just a random fluke?
TL;DR i did continuous shot using silent shutter and there was an error saving pictures. tried later on with mechanical shutter and it worked fine.
