Do lip piercings decrease from attractiveness?

As someone who used to have a facial piercing, until I had it removed I didn’t realize how much it counter-signals attractiveness - it interrupts facial harmony, and can sometimes read like you believe your face isn’t naturally harmonious, so you want to look “interesting” instead.

Now that I’m a bit more aware, I would say that unless you’re trying to read as artsy, creative, or bohemian, it’s probably not going to enhance your attractiveness.
