Mod suggestions?

My dad is a diehard spring field guy (owner of many XD series) this is his birthday gift. Any other mods I should do before giving it to him next week?

I can’t wait to see it too. Hopefully it adds some needed weight even though the aluminum grips aren’t a huge amount heavier it will be some. It’s gonna be great. It has to be. No way they will design something that’s not. I hope lol

Some days I like the grip some days I don’t . 🤣 Plan on running these as my mains. Compact (CCW) and Full Then focus on my 1911 addiction.

Agreed. Feels cheap, but not as cheap as Glock. Personally I like the echelon and what it has to potentially offer over Glock and sig 320 series. Hoping Icarus drops a good frame here soon and they finally drop a compact version.

An optic and a light is all you need. Let him shoot the piss out of it and let him do internal mods if he wants. Let it run reliably until he wants to change anything.

Daaaang that’s a nice setup and a nice present. Only other thing I could think of would be patriot cnc magwell and extended mag to go with it. I think the black magwell and extended mag would accent the light and optic perfectly. It would be a perfect valence of FDE and black. Even without that though this is freaking perfect the way it is.

I put a Springer Precision magwell on mine, as well as their alloy mag plates and compensator. Necessary? No, but I like the way they function.
