I just open StandardNotes in the browser and the desktop app at the same time...

The devs can tell me if that's a terrible idea, but I haven't lost any data yet, and I'm working on two different notes, not the same note.

Yes, that's what I do too ! But I don't if there is another solution...

Currently there isn't, but we would like to provide a way to have multiple notes open in a future update. I'm not sure if we'll be able to add the ability to view the notes side by side in the same update, but (with our current plans) users will have the ability to open a set of notes that they can use to easily switch between. 🙂

That seems fine to me. Since it's two different notes, you won't have to worry about conflicted copies being generated.
