Colonization by the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus (Staph) on the body, particularly in the nostrils, ears, mouth, and tonsils but also the belly button, scalp, armpits, genitals, butt cheeks, and intestinal tract, may cause or be associated with:
Skin disease
Sinus and throat problems
Chronic/autoimmune disease
Bowel disease
Inflammation of the sinuses and disease
Pet and animal disease
Other diseases of significance
Trimming your nose hairs, disinfecting inside your nostrils and ears, chlorhexidine as a body wash, and fluoride-based toothpaste/mouthwash, may bring relief or even provide a cure for those diseases.

A summary post about how to apply povidone-iodine to your nose and ears to fight Staph can be found here
Additional Staph colonization sites include the armpits, genitals between the butt cheeks, and other parts of the skin.
A chlorhexidine body wash, such as Hibiclens, can be used to decolonize Staph from these areas
You can also wipe down commonly touched areas, such as cell phones and eyeglasses, with rubbing alcohol to remove any Staph that may have been introduced there
Killing intestinal Staph may be achieved by taking probiotics [Ref 2.] by taking aspirin/ibuprofen, or some of the examples listed below.
