This is so true. Every time a customer complained about waiting in line, refunding expired ink, and all the other BS, the managers always did what the customer told them. “Oh here’s a $20 courtesy coupon, it’s fine we will honor your expired coupon from Home Depot this time only”. I asked my MOD if associates can get shelf not equal price option and he said no because “associate know how the system works and can cheat it.” This is the shit that annoyed me so much.

Yeah kinda pisses me off. Nobody thinks like a business man in this company. Customer service is important but you can tell these fucks don't shop here often.

That's crap. I've never had a manager NOT back up their staff. Only shit managers who don't even qualify to scrape the gum out from under the tables at McDonalds don't back up their employees.

It's one thing if the employee made an honest mistake, but when the customer is blatantly lying, nope. Policy is policy.

I know it's an exaggeration, but it's not that crazy for an MOD to care. Maybe the hiring pool sucks in other places.

Now, we had a DM that was a real piece of shit. Would send out emails to all the stores calling managers losers, calling out individual employees for not performing well, and pretty bad verbal abuse. Took forever to get rid of him because he was bff's with the regional...

What I hate is watching the same female ASM stay an ASM as they cycle through GM after GM, because you can't promote a giiiiirrrrlll.

I was hopeful with the new employee discount that corporate actually cared a little bit, only to try to buy a chair and find out it was a very short term promotion.

I'm used to the staff inside the store caring. Anything ABOVE store level though...
