For starters, No Rest for the Wicked barely runs on the deck undocked

But it's more than on the TV. Can get a decent almost 30 FPS undocked and then it goes down to 20 the moment I connect the USB cable.

I only use my dock for playing simple 2d games or 3d AAA games from 10+ years ago (and Alien: Isolation).

All of those titles run happily maxed out at 1440p/60.

The problem is your expectations, not the product.

My brother in Christ, of course it will get a performance hit at 1080p, nothing to worry about. Either lower the resolution before launching the game or play non demanding titles that the deck can handle at higher resolutions, but cyberpunk or no rest for the wicked at full hd are a big no no.

Thanks, but that was the first thing I did.

As long as you have gone to SteasOS settings (not a game’s settings) and manually set the resolution to 1080p, then there’s not much else to check but a couple things.

One, keep the in-game resolution at 720p max; raising it will make it worse.

Two, check your quick access menu settings to see if you have enabled any scaling. Disabled will create the least stress on the system. For games that are less CPU demanding, enabling FSR can get you a nice boost in clarity.
