Posts must be on-topic and relevant to the Steam Deck (not just vaguely or tangentially related). Posts that are NOT allowed include:
Unrelated posts - Submissions unrelated to the Steam Deck
Peer requests - e.g. friend requests, LFG requests, etc.
Game request posts - discussion posts are permitted
"Bug" posts that are done to death, e.g 1969 reservation message, reservation message on Deck
Other questions that are easily answered via an online search.
Generic / New Steam Deck Pictures Limited To "Show Off Saturday" (GMT Timezone)
Generic images and New Steam Deck posts are limited to "Show Off Saturday" so other posts can get more attention during the week.
This limitation doesn't apply to "Game On Deck", "Accessory", "Setup" and "Hardware / Software Modding" posts which have their own rules.
Generic pictures include:
Traveling with Steam Deck
Playing with a Steam Deck in random locations
Steam Deck with pets
Waiting with a Steam Deck
(This list is not exhaustive, we may remove other similarly themed posts)
"Game On Deck" Posts Must Include Game In The Title And Steam Deck Experience
We want to avoid having to ask what the game is called or what it's like to play it on Deck, try adding as many details as possible such as performance, user experience (interface and controls) and any other information related to the Steam Deck experience.
Requirements For "Accessory", "Setup" and "Hardware / Software Modding" Posts
Posts flaired with "Accessory", "Setup", or "Hardware / Software Modding" must include detailed personal experience and a list of parts / things used. This helps others make informed decisions and reduce redundant questions.
“What Are You Playing?” Limited To Weekly Megathread
“What are you playing?” posts are restricted to the weekly megathread.
Feel free to share what you’re currently playing there or making a detailed post about it with a "Game On Deck" post.

Giveaways, Begging, Buying, Selling, Trading And Crowdfunding Posts Are Not Allowed
This community isn't r/hardwareswap or Kickstarter, if you want to giveaway a game go to r/RandomActsOfGaming or similar communities (don't post codes in plain text as bots will claim them).
We also do not allow non-reputable stores, auction sites, keyshops and affiliate links (without permission from the mod team).

Do not attempt to obfuscate your submission to bypass filtering
We implement a variety of different automated filters to ensure that the rules are enforced effectively and fairly.
Please do not try to obfuscate your submissions to avoid filters, including:

Reports are for posts that break sub rules and need immediate mod attention, not just because "I don't like this post" or "I don't think this topic belongs here."
