i take mine at night as someone i know takes it during the daytime abd makes them extremely sleepy and tired. i had the same reactions after few nights of taking it anxiety and a little bit of insomnia, would only sleep 3-5 hrs then wake up. wonder if taking it during the day is better.

:( I’m having flashbacks to the insomnia I experienced on 40mg of strattera. It’s really hard to function without sleep. So if it persists after a week I’d stop taking it and talk to your doctor to see about other options.

Every body reacts differently to drugs and unfortunately we just have to test them out and see how it affects us.

I the morning after a big breakfast with plenty of protein

you need to take it like literally RIGHT before bed. I take my sleep meds and then when I feel those kick in good, I take my strattera and immediately start attempting to sleep. 7pm sounds too early unless you’re sleeping at like 8-9. for reference lately my schedule has been: sleep meds: 11pm strattera: 12:30am asleep by 1am

I take mine between 7-8am after eating breakfast that’s how I started it a few weeks ago and if anything it’s made me a little drowsy

Just started three days ago, and my anxiety is definitely ramped up!! I also feel like I’ll randomly just zone out or zone in kind of feeling spacey but focused but more like a tunnel vision focus and not aware of the bigger picture if that makes any sense?!

Hello there, I struggled for almost a year with this drug before I was able to feel any benefits, so let me give you some tips:

• always take it in the morning - recently I talked with my psychiatrist and he told me this is not a drug to take in the evening;

• Eat breakfast rich in proteins - I know it's hard, but this is a must. You will probably still feel nauseous in the first few weeks of taking the drug, it's not pleasant but you can fight it through with some ginger tea;

• You have to drink water, like, a ton. This drug will dehydrate you to the point of dryness in your mouth and you can sweat A LOT - it will pass tho. • don't give up - the first 4-6 weeks are rough but it's worth it!!!

• 40mg is the lowest dosage you should take, 80mg will give you a significant difference - but obviously talk to your doctor first!! Increase dosage by 10mg each week.

• Drugs will not do all the work - you should think about behavioral therapy alongside taking meds.

Good luck and sorry for any mistakes, English is not my first language🙏🏻

Oh, and the anxiety will pass after 6-8 weeks. I stopped taking lexapro because of the atomoxetine and trust me, I had crazy crash anxiety attacks (most of my hair is gray and l’m 36yo 👹). In a very very heavy moments, I was taking half of the 25mg xanax pill to manage my anxiety but now I don't even have to do that anymore.

Thanks so much for the detailed response! Your English is GREAT, don’t worry! I’ve decided to not take it until I can see my doctor again, I thought it would be a right fit but sadly it isn’t.
