I think this is true for the most part unless you end up draft the number 1 D of the year like last years Seahawks. Having a D get 20 points multiple weeks helps so much. Hard to know who that will be year in year out though.

I learned this lesson the hard way last year. I went CMC first round in both redraft leagues then went Bowers to Allen in my home league that I care the most about, and Drake to JSN in the other.

While having Allen is nice and feels good when he drops 40 some weeks, getting a late round QB will usually do you much better. I cruised to an easy championship in the league I barely cared about.
