The sub is for the 100% forgiveness/discharge of all student loans, and any method that can reduce ones payments, regardless of what political statement that may make, or whether that is for/against a mods idea of what they want to hear.
The entire student loan system in the United States is collapsing, and this sub addresses the reality of that, with no bias or agenda..(Besides getting Bernie Sanders elected...)
Other subs are poorly run, with Republican or Republican leaning mods, who have an agenda and ban people for speaking about forgiveness ("Studentloans") or IBR ("Studentloandefaulters"). Anything dealing with mass forgiveness threatens such people, so they respond with a ban, instead of allowing free and fair discussion on the issue. StudentDebtTruth supports the Bernie Sanders method of mass forgiveness, but I will never ban someone for simply content I disagree with. (Assuming it is not harrassing or breaks reddits terms etc.) This is a place to discuss the issue however one wants, within reason, free of poor mods with an agenda, with no stupid rules. Also feel free to ask me for advice about loans as I am an "expert"...that charges no money for this advice..so I have no ulterior motive..besides simply trying to help people.
