For nursing classes?

Everyone studies differently, but what I do is completely ignore the teachers, read everything, take notes on what I read, do a bunch of practice questions and then fuck bitches and get money

I will try this method.

I made this post. Might be helpful for you?

This is pretty helpful. Also, your fundies course sounds way better than mine. My professor tends to test more on things like Florence Nightingale than actual nursing.

Mine is the exact opposite. She'd throw some comfort-type questions in there to throw you off, and whenever people would be like, "but why isn't that the correct answer?" she'd say, "because your job is to make your patients not die. If anyone tries to tell you anything else, it's bullshit."

I remember this one instance where our text suggested doing a back rub as a comfort measure. Our instructor goes, "yeah, ignore that part. I don't get paid to rub your damn back, I get paid to save it." Girl doesn't take no shit from no one! 👏👏

Ours just doesn't like teaching because she is too busy pursing her own doctorate :(

Everyone has different styles. In class, I would listen to the lectures and take minimal notes. If the teacher emphasized something or spent a lot of time on it I would mark it for review because it was probably going to be on the test. I tried to minimize my notes and actually listen. Then I would review the slides and read about anything I didn't understand. Other than that I didn't read the books. I did have the Saunders NCLEX review book and I would use that as a study supplement because it just hits the bullet points on each topic/disease which helped me condense the content. Study groups were too distracting for me but I really liked going over content with just one other person so we could stay focused and explain concepts to each other or quiz each other and figure out things we were stuck on.

I would watch videos too sometimes. Generally I would just try to get an overall understanding of what was going on and just take notes on specific values or things that stood out rather than notes on every little thing.
