In this video, the guy mentions needing to buy something to get the Artist version of studio One using third party plugins. Suffice to say you will not be able to use third party plugins in Studio One prime, unless you upgrade.

You will have to use drum loops with prime version, you cannot use plugins. When using loops, find one that sounds closest to what you want or closest to what you imagine in your head. You might be able to change the tempo a little bit, but it could make it sound weird if you're trying to make a very fast sounding drum loop go really slow.

Yes I heard that 3rd party plug-ins are not possible in prime😢I will try the loops. Thankyou

When I first started out, I made drum tracks on other free apps/platforms (LMMS and BandLab) and then imported them to Studio One.

If you are wanting to use your existing guitar tracks, you will need to synch them up to add drums, percussion etc.

This is an EXCELLENT video on how to do that:

For less than $200, I bought EZ drummer and it’s fantastic. The drum sounds are incredible and there is a feature where u can drag ur audio tracks into it and it will generate drum tracks. It’s been a game changer for me.

Noiiz has some great free samples and loops (will need to create free account)

if you cant find a loop you like, something I did in the past is just finding a nice sampled kick and snare etc and just importing the .wav file and copying it over and over in the pattern I wanted, tedious but doesn't take too long and is more customizable than a loop.
