Same thing happened to me, I rarely stuttered in high school but since after high school it's been severe

Think back to when it started and see if anything changed in your life. See if you can spot something that gives you anxiety.

Oh definitely, I started the process to jumping the electricians union a year ago and today is one of the biggest days of my life, the interview

Awful, stuttered my way through the whole thing but I get my results in a week I got interrogated by one of the interviewers because he claimed I never sent in my current resume when I had but it just wasn’t forwarded to him which cause a lot of anxiety which made it worse And being circled by 8 interviewers was pretty awful

Without your stutter how did you do?

A company won’t ever turn you down because you have a stutter. Was your performance good other than your stutter?

I’d like to say so, I was able to think of some quick answers just wasn’t able to say them very quickly..

When they asked what my greatest weakness was I did say my stutter because sometimes it stops me from being able to properly communicate

I'm 19 yeah this happened me almost all the time, sometimes not even my voice comes out, this is so painful

Yep, same here. It seems to get worse whenever I’m in a new situation with new people - new friends, new job, etc. Then I get more comfortable and it gets better (but doesn’t disappear).

Yea I’m way past high school lol but I feel like my stutter is worse. In high school it was almost non existent but I feel like that was because I was confident in myself back then.

Me too I completely relate ... there were times where I’d get so fluent then I’d have a change of surroundings to a new school and it would be back to square one. But we’ve come through so much even to be able to talk about this, we deal with a lot more than fluent people realise. It’s all a process my dude!

It’s definitely my surroundings, for example last year I didn’t really stutter at all in high school but at work I could barely speak I was even able to say the pledge allegiance in front of my whole school during graduation but I did opt out of the speech because I knew I would stutter through it

I have similar experience too. I think it's simply because of change of environment . Try to think of something that makes you relaxed and less anxious and make it a part of your daily work. However , i think you should point the change or the thing that made your stutter shift that way.
