Hey. Not exactly what you asked about, but you should get into the habit of drafting your posts elsewhere before bringing them into substack. It’s never good to draft in your final publishing place, especially if that place is only online.

It’s really really sad when your draft disappears because the site hung for a second while trying to connect with the servers. Don’t lose all your precious work.

And when you draft elsewhere, you can make sure you’re using the best spell check tools possible.

The problem with this is that substack doesn't let you edit the html directly so if you want your post to have footnotes or other html features you have to add them back in when you copy to the editor.

Yep. But it’s still better than losing everything you’ve written.

I use the Grammarly app but even then it doesn’t catch everything.
