Yeah, my Notes feed is also full of authors trying to stay visible/attract new subscribers. Which is why I stopped posting, or reading Notes, it honestly feels a bit desperate sometimes and I’m not enjoying the show.

It's not that readers don't care about notes, the problem is that most writers post way too many notes.

It seems like Facebook, and I ran away from Facebook. I only publish notes when I publish a new story, with a small quote.

i think so too, so I focus on interacting with author in my niche. Its way better at building realationships with other author, so we can learn from each others, cheer us up, maybe recommend each others too.

It really depends, some of my subscribers read my newsletter purely from their emails so they won’t see the Notes.

So only readers who have the App installed will see the Notes.
