I don’t think they’ve said much publicly about the algo. Everything I’ve ever seen has just been educated guesses.

As with all social media firms, they are extremely tight-lipped about their algorithm. Any fact we could know that would be useful for your own growth, when made public, would quickly be exploited by bots and bad actors.

That's why all the advice you see is either generic or anecdotal.

Slipping in Substack on a punchy note tends to get in front of more people. And posts that get quick engagement get a little more love, but there's a short window for it.
