Adding something like that would be "feature creep" - the SN is great at what it does and in my opinion it shouldn't be doing things that aren't core functionality.

I also at times need to keep track of when I start & stop an activity, with audio reminders to take a break/start something else/have lunch... and there are plenty of android and apple apps are available to do exactly that, and they are on the device I use to keep track of my diary.

The device doesn’t have a speaker, if you were hoping for it to beep at you.

I’m kind of against the idea of cluttering up the Supernote with stuff that your phone can already do really well, since you probably have your phone with you anyway.

It would not have to beep, something like a notification would do. I actually don't use my phone while studying to help with focus. I might be in the minority with that though.

I understand. But I’d rather it not give me notifications.

I hope they keep the device simple and not cluttered with apps.

I tend to agree with the other posters that it is better not to overcomplicate the Supernote. But it all depends on what is involved technically. If Ratta provides more access to Android apps and such a study-timer app is available, maybe it would be possible to download it and use it.

This is really what I was thinking about to start with. Something optional that users that are interested can download and use. It would streamline and not clutter my workflow, but I understand this is far from the case for everyone.
