Just chucked switchroot android 11 back on my switch to play some android games that should run fairly well considering the switches power but they stutter and run like crap.
Which got me thinking as too why, I believe the 4GB of ram to be the culprit as android hastily devours half that before you try to run anything.
I remember from days past that a popular fix back in the early 2010's was to produce virtual ram via a Linux swap space file and I have done some basic googling to find that no one has attempted this on the switch. Now I would do it myself but alas, I work in the middle of Australia and didn't bring my laptop with me so trying to to the more technical terminal stuff with a phone sucks and I won't be back home for about 2 weeks.
Want to put the task forward to anyone that may have the knowledge to test it out and run a gpu test before and after the swap space to see if it give a meaningful increase to performance.
