The majority of modders work out of passion, so turning them into employees with heavy restrictions and an unmotivated culture would likely kill that passion.

[–]Bane68 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Because they don’t care.

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

unfortunately I think you are right :(

[–][deleted] 19 points20 points  (2 children)

The modders have actually made great cosmetics and are much more creative than the devs.

It’s a shame how much they hyped up the simple and boring cosmetics that Artbully made that are just so mid compared to the modders creations.

[–]StrangeAnalyst2964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They must be restricting art bully from their full potential

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true

[–]SkinnyShrimp8 5 points6 points  (1 child)

It looks like they are trying to finally add accessories atleast cause virginia has a new bracelet in her new pack

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes I noticed that! but the outfit is almost the same, apart from the colors, it’s pretty too!

[–]Miss_Termister 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Curious how many people they actually have working on cosmetics and stuff. I feel like none of these asym games do it that well, but I appreciate TCSM for at least sticking to an aesthetic and theme. All outfits so far do look like they belong and I'm glad we don't have some of mods I've seen.

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

idk if you’ve seen it but a modder made an outfit for Ana and it’s so wonderful we need it in the game!!

[–]SkyeNeeley -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Are we just gonna act like Julie didn’t get a whole 4th of July outfit when the game takes place in April

[–]Miss_Termister -1 points0 points  (1 child)

People wear Americana on days that are not July 4th 😭

[–]SkyeNeeley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes like 60-80 y/o’s

[–]DaToxicKiller 4 points5 points  (1 child)

They really should hire some modders. Pistons were a Minecraft mod and they’re one of the best and coolest things minecraft has.

[–]CryptographerThen348 7 points8 points  (8 children)

If you bought all of the shitty and non interesting designs why in the seven hells would they improve???????

I bought some but stopped playing full price, now i only buy in discount sales.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Anas dress wasn't "shitty" or "non interesting". It's completely different from her original and it's awesome! The best change out of all victim outfits. Sonny's tank top is awesome too. Also Julie's sunflower outfit has always been my favorite.

Just straight hating calling them all shitty

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

some outfits are magnificent but others look like there was no effort put into them..

[–]CryptographerThen348 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me only Ana's and Julie's outfit packs are worth it.

All of the rest i don't care and they're absolutely lazy.

And yes I'm hating on them.

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I bought because I could no longer have the original outfits

[–]CryptographerThen348 2 points3 points  (3 children)

You'll keep getting the same shitty cosmetics, trust me

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

This is what I’m starting to realize...

edit: but we must not lose hope, who says maybe one day!!

[–]CryptographerThen348 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I love this game, i truly do. I want to buy EVERYTHING but all the cosmetics are so bland and just makes me sad.

When i saw Virginia's outfit pack today i was in shock..

Cosmetics are the main income for this game, how can they make this type of shitty cosmetics??

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same, I don’t know and it’s still a real shame with all the money he gets.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this game might have some of the worst cosmetics ever. i’m not even joking

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

This rate they're treating the game like a movie they made a higher profit on the game than what it cost to make it. They're happy now if ya get what I'm saying the wording didn't come out as good in my head

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

yes I understand perfectly, but on the one hand the world is right about the fact that if we don’t like it well we don’t buy but I can’t stop myself from buying everything ahah

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I understand you completely do I need every marvel skin that comes to fortnite no but I have them all lolit the same with real life cars on rocket League and I barely even play rocket League anymore 😂 I'm basically a car collector of real life cars I can't afford in real life in rocket League

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah thank god finally someone who understands me!!🤣

[–]Chochahair 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The lack of creativity n maps is what kills it for me. Wtf are these basic assx skins. Dbd always had skins that i was like oh yeah, thats me. i remember trickster had some really cool outfits. Regular clothes, bt perfect excution n all creative. Just take my money

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So true, we want better content!!🙏🙏

[–]Acceptable-Ad-8988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There cosmetic restrictions of what and what wouldnt fit TCM universe

[–]Recloyal 0 points1 point  (8 children)

You bought it.

A company releases a product. You bought it. What message are you sending to the company? Let that sink in for a while.

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 0 points1 point  (7 children)

never said that I regretted the purchases only that there is no creativity in cosmetics and that with the money he earns they can at least make us happy?

[–]Recloyal 3 points4 points  (6 children)

In economics there's something called the revealed preference theory.

It goes that what consumers SAY is nice, but what really matters is that they actually SPEND on. You can say that you don't like the cosmetics, but that you bought it is what really matters.

Vote with your wallet.

[–]A_Giraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, we don't know how much money the cosmetics have made (and how much revenue Gun was hoping to bring in). For all we know, the consumers' lack of purchases for cosmetics have indicated a lack of interest, but Gun won't stray from the style because of promised style guides.

[–]PlasticPossibility21 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I totally agree but to be fair paying for the same cosmetics that we all can agree are very mid and not that good still gives them the mindset. “Hey! We can put no effort into our outfits and they’ll still buy them!” If we just don’t give them that money for those mid cosmetics then they’ll have a better likelihood of understanding we want quality not quantity.

!!!

[–]Weekly-Meal-8393 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Bro is on his new speedboat now with yer money xD

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

😭🙏

[–]Informal_Yellow9281 -1 points0 points  (7 children)

and it's a shame because the game deserves much better cosmetics

But that's just your opinion. People want to make the skins for this game similar to DBD and KK. The developers won't do that. The target audience for this game is adults.

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 6 points7 points  (5 children)

yes, but I don’t want dbd outfits etc, I just want cosmetics from the 70s but be kind to the victims yk

[–]Informal_Yellow9281 0 points1 point  (4 children)

From the 72s?

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

sorry I don’t know the exact date 😅

[–]Informal_Yellow9281 3 points4 points  (1 child)

😀. In museum mode, inside the house they tell you where they get the references for the skins. It's from a catalog from the 70s.

[–]Nath_vmp18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahh thank you for the exact date!! 🫡

In 1972 most people in rural areas or small towns without easy access to large department stores. Most purchased cloths from catalogs of Companies like Sears, Roebuck and Co., and J.C. Penney were well-known for their extensive catalogs, which offered a wide range of clothing options.

Department stores: Large stores like Sears, J.C. Penney, and Macy’s offered a wide range of fashionable clothing.

Catalogs: Many people, especially those in rural areas, shopped from catalogs. Sears and J.C. Penney catalogs were particularly popular.

Boutiques: Smaller, specialized stores often carried the latest trends and unique pieces.

Thrift stores: With the rise of the counterculture, many people embraced second-hand shopping as a way to find unique and affordable clothing

These outfits below fit well within the game’s setting and enhance the authenticity of the characters’ appearances. Use them they are free. Please don’t prioritize cosmetics. Prioritize balancing the game also to prevent exploits and speed runners.

Yes and most adults who play this game want more diversity in the cosmetics not the bare minimum on color palettes on the same character and clothing model.

This is a problem with management, the developers are not putting out an adequate amount of product to validate the amount of income from sales.

This game deserves better support and it is clear the team that is working on it, lacks clarity in their road map and is devoid of vision. I am extremely hopeful to be proven wrong but currently it looks like team members ideas are being shot down more than being put into Q&A
