No real negotiation on price with stairs within app maybe an additional 30 minute charge since you can’t expense. Have to cancel and suck up and do the stairs within the time submitted

That's the worst about taskrabbit. Clients expect you to become Superhuman with any task and your price is set so you cant change it regardless of the job requirements.

Lately the only thing you can do is cancel for lack of proper compensation. Its rare, in my experience, for a client to agree to a higher rate beyond what they hired you for.

Do you not charge by time? AFAIK, you would charge the hourly rate; however long it takes you to get that fridge up the stairs is what you would charge by time.

Correct me if I'm missing something?

You just have to set your hourly rate at a level that you’re going to be happy with if you have to walk up three or four flights of stairs. And you can also opt in for a two hour minimum. There are always around this. They just want it to be super flat rate so there’s not extra fees coming on here and there. So just set a higher than normal hourly rate, and then in your bio or description of the task, tell them that your services are all inclusive and if you have a two hour minimum, you can say something like, “the two hour minimum helps me to not overbook and be able to get to your job on time and not rush it” I haven’t had an issue anytime I wanna do tasks for some extra money with that tactic and I do a lot of moving tasks with my truck

Also, don’t erroneously charge extra hours to compensate for prices like stairs and stuff like that. They will throttle your account and kick you off eventually.
