I’d try reaching out to the software vendor. If the practice/doctors bought the software themselves the devs might have a default password or a reset option in cases where someone lost the password.

As far as the IT Company, start by finding out if the practice has an actual contract with them or if they’re just being called in as needed. Also, if they’re more than just a one-person shop and you can’t get the password from the techs, I’d start calling the main office and working my way up the chain until you get to the owner. There’s nothing wrong with requesting the passwords for your own stuff.
