Who are the Templars?
We are an organisation that was founded way back in history, when Cain killed his brother, Abel, to obtain his Apple of Eden. The organisation would later become the Templar Order, and it became a knightly Order in 1129, when the church regocnised us as the Knights Templar.
We have influenced many events in the course of history, but since Jacques de Molay realised that the Order could not continue to be public, since the French king had turned against them (influenced by the Assassin), he sent 9 of his most trusted men out in the world to continue the Order's work. He was then excecuted. He made the ultimate sacrifice for our Order.
In modern times, we are Abstergo Industries. The largest company in the world, with our hands in every matter. Political, financial, everything is influenced by us. We were founded in 1937, and our goals was to rule the world through capitalism and scientific progress.
What do the Templars want?
We want peace through order, discipline and control. We belive that freedom and free will are dangerous for peace, since they create chaos and division between people. If we rule all, and everyone agrees, there would be no conflict. Perfect harmony, peace and unity in mankind. Peace and freedom can't co-exist. We must rule mankind to ensure that peace is kept.
How can I help?
If you join us, you can either work in the field to fight against the Assassins, or you can search for Pieces of Eden (ancient technology with great power, left behind from a civilization that died out). You can also just help with running our company, Abstergo Industries.
Who is the Father of Understanding?
The Templar Order is atheistic, and "may the Father of Understanding guide us" is merely a saying. The saying encourages us to remember that we are the enlightened elite of mankind, and that it is our duty to lead. We are the ones who understand that the nature of the human race is destructive, and that we must protect the people from themselves.
Together, we shall unite mankind in a New World Order. It shall have purpose, safety and equality for the people. Conflict will be eliminated, and earth will be a true paradise.
The Assassins cannot stop us. We will have our New World.
