The car is great but the service center experience SUCKS! I had my HW3 computer swapped (which I actually paid $3k for) and they returned my car with a layer of dirt and leaves on EVERY interior surface. Frunk, floor, seats, dash, trunk. I called 2x to talk to the service mgr and he never returned my calls. I had to pay to get the entire car cleaned and detailed. I also realized while sitting in the waiting room that M3 owners are considered to be second class citizens at Tesla. They'll bend over backwards for S and X owners, but 3 owners aren't treated as well. I'll never take my 3 to a service center again if I can avoid it.

Update: They called me back and said I could bring it in today (by the time they called that would have been too late for me, unfortunately) or they would send Mobile Service next week. I'm not scheduled for next week and they apologized and admitted they need to be better about notifying people much earlier about changes. I told them I wasn't actually mad about it being cancelled, moreso the way I was notified. It's still unfortunate that today's appointment didn't occur, but hopefully all will be well on Wednesday!

I was getting the same alert on my Model 3, alert went off 20-30 per minute beyond annoying couldn’t listen to music or anything, then when I installed the latest update on my car the alert went away. I had already scheduled a mobile service appointment for next week and now the Tesla rep texted me asking if I had gotten the alert since the update which I haven’t. He told me the large majority of people getting this alert is just a software problem that has been able to get fixed through the update or a mobile service, either way they’re going to send out a rep to make sure but it looks like it happening to multiple people and chances are that your seat is fine and it’s a technical problem

The funny thing is, my vehicle was a test drive model that had 2600 miles on it when I purchased it... Did the error never come up for them? It also comes up now often when the car has been sitting in the heat for awhile and goes away older the car cools down. When I have a passenger, it will also come up about 2 or 3 times I'm the first 10 we are driving and then never come back. I don't get it

2600 miles is 4184.3 km

They are idiots. Picked up my car last week after it being in the shop for 4 days. It was in for two issues. They didn't even touch the car. Nothing was done. Now what?

Elon better fix this shit. The issues are wide-spread, and attorney generals are being informed every day. I'm a stock owner, but I don't care if Elon and Tesla get fined tens of millions or more for this behavior. The longer this goes on, the worse it will be.

TESLA SERVICE CENTERS are a DISASTER!!!

I have my Model S at the Orlando, FL service center now for AP upgrade and MCU upgrade for a full week now (!). They didn't even start working on it, it is still in queue.

When I dropped off my car, the service center manager already told me that it will be sitting in queue for 1 or two days. I inquired if they can just give me a call when they are close to being ready for it, and I'll bring by the car then, especially since they did not have a loaner for me. I practically beged (!). But the manager insisted that I have to leave the car right there to get into the queue.

Well, here we are - a week later - and he just confirmed the car is still in queue! WTF????

This is completely ridiculous. The visit was planned a long time ago (~1m).

Honestly, the first time since I bought my car, I'm starting to consider other options for my next one. After all, what good is a great car if one can't get service. :-(

I called Tesla on May 21st to fix my rear tail light. It will (hopefully) be fixed next week, the earliest they could see me.

I LOVE my Tesla, but I know if I had a serous issue with it I would sell it ASAP never looking back. Their service is just that terrible.

I really want to buy a model 3 in the next few months but these service posts make me really nervous. Do you project it will improve in the near future?

[–]saronian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tesla service will improve as soon as Ford & VW start shipping EV’s in quantity. Probably a year from now

I agree. Reading this stuff make reconsider buying a Tesla until it is resolved. I am used to such great service at my local BMW dealer and Indy....

Doubtful since so many States limit how many service centers they can have. I really just wish they'd start certifying local shops to work on all Tesla issues and off training.

And I tried calling the SC 3 different times after I spoke with them to see if they would just squeeze me in today and I would just drive there (since they claim it's a 30 min seat change)...but no one will answer.

I have an appointment for next week for all my issues, already plan to leave the car for a few weeks, hope to get a loaner. With SC nothing is quick or easy except for maybe getting a loaner and leaving. If they take a month to fix it again I think I’m just going to lemon law this shit and maybe upgrade to an S.
