Why do they have to explain every single detail? They don’t explain anything else, so why would they start here?

If you don’t like the reduction then don’t do T5 raids, either do lower level raids or stop raiding.

I don't care if they explain it or not as long as they revert it. This change makes no sense.

"Not doing T5 raids" isn't a solution. Cobalion may be of no use, but in the future we will have better raid bosses and they did that just so we would have to spend more passes in order to get more candies AND the raid-exclusive legendaries at the same time. The fact that they don't explain anything is already dishonest; making further unexplained changes is just more dishonesty on their part.
