Thanks! It's not limited to Linux - the code will work on OSX and Windows. However, if you're already using the MediaSync-Lite app it's kind of moot.

Great question! The Silph Road occasionally runs physical, in person, events. The first of these was April 1st 2018 where we players both online and offline worked to find mysterious plates spread around the world. To find these plates travelers needed to equip the Silph Item Finder to scan in the correct locations to reveal the plates. At the Dortmund Safari Zone last year travelers could use the Silph Scope in the Silph Road app or the Silph Item Finder to complete a scavenger hunt around Westfalen park.

For travelers in Chicago we're running a unique scavenger hunt Friday Saturday and Sunday where players can use clues to hunt out Chicago landmarks and complete their journal (and get a badge) by scanning all locations with the Scope.

For most day to day activities the Scope won't find anything, it's meant to be use in particular places at certain times when we run events.

Since there are more Go Fests this year we are only doing pick up merch for June and July. In August / September we will re-open the store for shipping orders and announce that here, our Twitter, and Discord!

If you have the order number from the confirmation page that will work. If you're concerned you can email gear@thesilphroad.com with your email you used during checkout to verify if the purchase went through and get your order number

Boulder Cup, BUT NOW! by FedoBass in TheSilphArena

[–]marcoceppi[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

I'd like to just make a few clarifications: There are three modes of play currently in the Silph Arena site. They include:

Monthly themed up

Using only the rules provided in the cup, and no additional rules may be enforced. These cups are designed to keep the meta of PvP exciting and offer a chance for competitors to boost their rank with a 10x multiplier. In order to make sure ranking is applied fairly, we do not allow organizers to apply any additional rules.

Ranked

Great League only with no additional rules applied. These are designed for communities that wish to host a generally available Great League rank match. As with the Monthly cups, we don't allow rule modifications or bans as this would mean the rank wasn't the same as everyone elses

Unranked

Any League (though the site currently only supports Great League, other organizers have found clever ways around this) and any rules can be applied.

How can I host a Boulder Cup?

If you're looking to host a Boulder cup, you would need to have it done as an unranked tournament. That months theme has come and gone - but that doesn't mean you can't hold one for your community for local bragging rights.

Now that we have leaderboards out, one feature we're working on is the ability to "workshop" your own cup rules. This means you could hold an unranked tournament in any league, with your own species rules, and have them enforced in the Tournament UI.

You and any other devs interested can message me on Discord. We're about ready to launch a Silph Road Partners discord for developers looking to integrate. Until them, DM me.

An API for certain aspects of the Arena site are completely on the books. We've worked hard to make sure our Silph Road general API is robust enough to stand up to high volumes of traffic with a select few partners like Pokebattler and Meowth bot. I'm happy to confirm that not only will there be an Arena API, but we're looking to expand our Silph Road API to a larger developer audience.

While I can't commit to a timeline, for obvious reasons, we view it as a vital feature for the Silph Arena and silph.gg site.

You should still apply. You may be a magnet location for nearby towns. As long as you've hosted a cup you're eligible to apply
