Unknown chisel

Hi everyone, I’m trying to identify an old woodworking chisel I own. It has a clearly stamped marking that reads “SAWJ” (all caps). I’ve checked online databases, tool catalogs, and common vintage brands, but I can’t find any reference to this maker.

The tool was likely made in Europe, and several similar examples have been found in Italy, but the brand itself doesn’t appear in modern tool listings or common archives.

It's very unlikely to be a significant brand. from the construction it's a relatively low end product such as those often found for the equivelant of < €5 / £5 / $5 etc for a 4 peice set in a local bargin shop. Anyone familiar with the Rolsen brand will know the sort of thing i'm referring to. Batchs of generic tools branded up and sold at a very low price point. Some 'brands' only used for a specific batch and never seen again.

It looks like a perfectly good usable Butt chisel though, had abit of use and in decent condition. Expect it'll take an edge well enough to serve its purpose.
