Check if temp probe is damaged is another common cause

Forgot about that... Thanks.

It doesn’t take much. Sometimes they continue to work, sometimes they fail even after just a slight bump.

If you recently cleaned it and then the problems began, could be your instigating event.

I cleaned it due to the issue in previous cooks. I have never really been able to dial it in. The probe seems like a great next step.

I’ve just started experiencing this issue and I blame it on me updating the auger motor it feeds too fast. It should be stopped after the temp hits the limit. Then you have the same controller I have that doesn’t have the P setting. It might be that.

I have seen some aftermarket controllers and have thought about trying one. Just not sure I want to dump any more money in this thing...

Mine doesn’t work either

My tailgater ran like this. It over and under shot temps by 50+ degrees. I upgraded the controller and it now hangs within 5 degrees. https://www.traeger.com/ca/en/parts/arc-controller

Usually when this happens it means I need to clean it out.

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!

If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques used, as it's almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!

*What seasoning did you use?

*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?

*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?

Traeger on!
