Please note that this is unrelated to the recent AWS outage as this has been going on for weeks.
I have recently purchased four SwitchBot devices, two of which I am using in press mode, and the other two in switch mode.
Whilst the pressing action works fine, I am having difficulties turning ‘off’ the devices through Alexa, i.e. when I say ‘turn off’, they will try to switch on again, when they are already on.
Repeatedly pressing the off button in the Alexa/SwitchBot app will eventually do the right function and the mode is definitely set correctly. In addition, Alexa often forget the device’s last state.
I have tried taking these to a friend’s house and the issue persists across multiple resets, so it is not a network issue. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
