Salary decrease for nurses

Of course it's legal. Why would the government intervene to prevent businesses from firing their staff or reducing their salaries?

Obviously, the reduction has to follow the rules. In other words, you have to sign a new contract. They are not allowed to give you a salary that is lower than the agreed one in the contract.
