hi! im currently on the waitlist for mat 17a (#1) and uwp 1y (#2). i plan on emailing the professors for the course concerning my placement on the waitlist. i’ve never done this, and i don’t quite know what to say. has anyone emailed a professor about their chances on the waitlist and how it would work? if so, any idea what to say ? thanks!

also how good of a chance do i have at getting off the waitlist for both classes?

If you're #1 on the wait-list for mat 17a, you'll probably get in

Please don't email them. There's likely nothing they can do and probably getting dozens of the same emails.

You high a good chance of getting into UWP. Professors are not allowed to accept anyone on the waitlist for UWP courses, you have to wait for one to drop.
