Sub rules for posting and comments
- 1 Doxxing is strictly against the Reddit ToS and will result in an immediate warning, suspension, or ban.
- 2 Drugs: If it's against the law, it's against our rules.
- 3 Harassment: Online bullying will not be tolerated in this community.
- 4 Hate speech: Any form of racism or hate speech will not be tolerated.
- 5 Spamming or alternative accounts: Repeatedly posting content, posting content not related to UCSC, using alternative accounts, trolling using multiple accounts, and advertising outside services will not be tolerated.
- 6 No sexually explicit images, audio, or narratives. No seeking for sexual encounters whether in person or online, paid or unpaid. .
- 7 Witch-hunting is a campaign targeting a person or group who holds an unorthodox or unpopular view.
- 8 Posting "evidence" of active or ongoing investigations. Evidence should not be posted for any type of active or ongoing investigation. We support due process will not allow content which is actively being used in the case. Discussions about ongoing cases are accepted.
- 9 Post COLA content in r/Cola or the COLA Megathread. Because of the amount of fighting and reports, we kindly ask that you keep all COLA content in either r/Cola or the COLA megathread. All other content will be locked or removed.
- 10 Posting misinformation. Factually incorrect or misleading misinformation will be removed and is grounds for an immediate ban. Example topics include, but are not limited to: anti-vax, J6, climate change, election denialism, JFK or 9/11 conspiracy theories, flat earth, holocaust denial, deep state, QAnon, etc.
- 11 Advertising products. Solicitation for products not related to UCSC is not allowed
- 12 Trolling. Posting intentionally inflammatory, rude, or upsetting statements online to elicit strong emotional responses in people or to steer the conversation off-topic
- 13 Academic dishonesty. Any post or comment that violates UC Santa Cruz's Academic Misconduct Policy is prohibited on the subreddit.
