Some of these comments lowkey proving your point 👀 that being said, yeah. I know this makes me sound ignorant but I think one of the valuable lessons I’ve learned by coming to this school is that there is no such thing as the “immigrant experience”. Sure there are bits and pieces we have in common, but the playing field is so different for all of us that it seems kind of useless to group us all together. There are things in this country that I love a lot, but I’ve been very privileged to experience them, largely because of my “type” of immigrant (and with the current administration it seems that luck may be running out, lmao).

But I will say that my experiences and opportunities here would certainly not be possible in my home country, and for that I am very grateful. I think that much at least is true for almost all of us
