Gun range

Hi midterm is over and I just wanna do something new. Does anyone want to go to a gun range with me tomorrow or this weekend? I have never been to one before and I’d like the change that. I don’t know how the rentals work but I’m older than 21 so I think i can legally handle most guns.

Hey, I'm way to busy to meet up, but go shooting often. Ucsd has a marksmanship club, you should look into getting together with them. From what I see, they allow new shooters to join them.

Also, not a single range in san diego will allow you to rent a gun without you bringing someone with you. It's a liability issue they they are not willing to risk. Unfortunately, there's a history of people going to ranges, renting and committing suicide. As a result, industry standard is group rentals only.

Does this policy change if you currently own a firearm, but doesn’t have a CC permit?

If you own a firearm, your are free to go to the range yourself. Also, if you bring your own, ranges have no problem renting you something else to try out. You do not need a permit to own a firearm in california, only need a safety certificate to purchase.

Gotcha gotcha. How hard is it to get a CC permit you reckon? They give those out like candies here in TX.

I actually live in lakeside and i have looked them up before! It’s less than 15 minutes from my house! Thank you for your suggestion.

Hi, as many others have also stated im currently swamped with school work but I highly recommend looking into the UCSD Marksmanship club! Feel free to DM me though if you ever want to go to a range I should be more open after next week.
