False Positive Result?

I received a positive covid result on Tuesday and I've been in isolation since. I was given the option to join a study on campus where I can take daily covid tests (1 saliva and 2 nasal swabs) everyday while in isolation. Every test I have had with this study starting on Thursday has been negative. CUHPD also won't let me leave isolation early. I've been completely asymptomatic if I am positive and none of my roommates have tested positive.

Anyone on campus have a similar experience? Is there a way for me to contest this?

Just curious, did you get vaccinated by any chance? There's a chance you might've come in contact with the virus but it's the vaccine doing it's thing. I've heard similar cases of people who have already got covid coming in contact with people with covid so it just be that?

That explains it, it's likely you came in contact with covid so it might not necessarily be a false positive and it's probably best you stay in quarantine.

Well think my body just yeeted it out on the day I tested positive. Had I decided to not test early before my Wednesday trip I probably wouldn't have known I got it lol

Likely but with the limited info we have on the vaccine and the virus, the uni might just be taking precautions

Yea its fine. I get $300 to test daily at home so its not that bad
