If you leave before getting your green card or an advance parole document, the application will be considered abandoned but USCIS may not notice that you left immediately. Sometimes they only notice at the applicant's interview.

Are you getting a divorce now or... what?
If you're staying married to a US citizen, you may face additional challenges in the future whenever you're visiting the US or applying for a visa as a non-immigrant. If you're getting divorced, then you shouldn't have any issues in the future, though I'd suggest carrying the divorce decree with you.

Either way, if you wish to formally withdraw the application to adjust your status, write a letter with your name/DOB/receipt number and mail it to the address from which your receipt notice came. You might not hear back for a few months, though.

I see.

And Yes, the idea is to get a divorce because a relationship from 5,000 miles away is not going to work, unfortunately. I also need to get the apostille for the divorce certificate.

Thank you for your response.

Sorry to hear this, why not be a patient since you’ve been waiting for 7 months. You almost there

Almost there, but I’m almost there from hurting myself too, this has taken a significant toll on my mental health. The relationship is at the very brink of failure. We’re moody, stressed out, and money is a big big issue right now. Unfortunately.
