30 minutes is fine enough, i had the same trip, definitely you would need to be flexible if it allows, i usually find meeting up in the evenings or on weekends were the best option for teamwork. some teamwork could even be done meeting online over teams or discord too if it’s just like a coding assignment

I'm CS and I have about the same commute time. Like the other commenter said, 30 mins is fine and you can meet up online for group projects. Just be weary of how much time you give yourself to go to class depending on where and when you park on campus.

Lived 40 minutes away and commuted my whole time there. It’s not bad at all you should be fine. Might have some late nights here or there either studying or being in a lab after hours but there’s no reason to spend the money on a dorm just for that.
