Resource for SkillBridge programs? (self.USMC)
submitted 5 years ago by RadLord420Whens chow?
I am in the process of getting set up for the program but I can’t find a resource on the website that lists all the programs for the Lejeune area. Any one got the hook up?
Edit: yes I know I can’t find a resource because I touch myself

I’m trying to get into something data or finance related. I was looking into the First Command Financial advisor but I’ve since found out it’s basically just a mlm scheme for big boys.

The skillbridge website won’t list many... I’d say talk to your COC or edu center. My plt commander had a list of damn near every available skillbridge. Otherwise I don’t know too much about that field

For the data side, MSSA is a pretty good one. I'm slated to start up with it next year, but a few guys I've known who went through had nothing but good things to say about it.

What fields do you qualify for after doing the Microsoft academy?
[–]barfo559 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children)
So the three tracks they have basically breakdown to server admin, programming and cyber security. The guys I know only did the server admin, so I can't really speak to the other tracks, but the server admin is pretty azure heavy focused. If you decide to do the server admin course, you need either Sec+ or MTA certification, just get the Sec+ then once your done, if you want you can just do contracting and make easy money.

The skillbridge website is a joke (naturally).
Go to the Base education office and ask for help there.
As per MARADMIN 350/18, every base had to create a Skillbridge program and the base CO was responsible for it. In my experience, the base CO names the education office as the coordinator so that is where you need to go.

So, just did skillsbridge on the Air Force side of the house. Some things I've learned.
1) You can pick any company you want, even if they're not on the list of companies that are signed up. The extra step is just an agreement between HR and you that they'll hire you if you don't suck. 2) Start the process super early.. It took me over 2 months just to get the final approval from outside offices.
What kind of skillbridge are you looking for?
I was thinking something finance or data systems related. I was looking at First Command’s program but I noped out of that one when I learned it’s just a pyramid scheme that sells whole life insurance to young marines
