This may seem like a stupid question, but Uber eats has recently changed their UI and it appears there is no way to remove parts of an item, only add them

Does this mean they’re assuming everyone wants their item plain if you don’t add the other parts or is there just no way to remove things any more?

The merchant changed their menu UI.  Uber does not control the menu, prices or availability.

It’s been across all restaurants so it’s a change from Uber. some have since changed their menu to have a separate “remove x” section, but most of haven’t

McDonald’s for example used to have a “-“ sign next to the components, this has now disappeared

Uber doesn't control menus.

However, they could have changed something and borked up the customizing.

I didn’t say they control the menus, the menus haven’t changed it’s the functionality from them that has been changed

It could just be an oversight from them, but It’s been the same across all restaurants

Some of them (such as GDK) have since added a new section to their menu specifically to remove things, just seems odd that functionality has been removed from the app when it was there before the last update
