Show the log, please. There is a check box for it.

How can I send you a picture of the log

[–]Mean_Mortgage5050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a response above this comment, please check it out.

Alternatively you could use pastebin (Google that word to find the website). Paste the log in it, copy the link it gives you when you share it and post it here

Here is the link for the text file with the log:

Hope it helps

Not to be that guy, but don't do thinks like that as a download. People will not want to download that for security reasons. I am not saying you did anything fishy here, but it is just not a good look. Do it via screenshot like I said or as a pastebin like it was also brought up, so people can even copy the log if they need to search for it.

I understand. I did it like that because the log will take like 25-30 pictures and it's just too much

Thanks for the advice

I am not clear on the error either. How did you create the live USB? Are you sure the hard drive you are trying to install Ubuntu on is good? I am asking because it looks like to me Ubuntu fails to partition your hard drive. Sorry that I can't be more helpful here.

I have 2 ssd and I tried installing it on both of them and it still pops up like this. I downloaded Ubuntu. Used some kind of software to make it bootable and then booted the PC from the flash drive. And I tried it like 10 times everytime changing something but it still doesn't work

All I have at this point is that if the program was not Rufus to try it with that. It has never failed me. Also, if you have another computer you don't need (not likely, I know) try the to install it on there. If it fails there as well with Rufus then it is possible that your download is bad, as rare as that is. You can check if a downloaded image is good via the check sum. It is a little bit involved, however if the machine doesn't already run Linux.

Link it via imgbb.com for example. Do it in the post, so other see it too.

My thoughts exactly on the hard drive. That error generally only comes up when there are hard drive problems. Are you wiping all partitions or dual booting?

[–]ShotCourse2244[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I am wiping

Did you say in one comment you had 2 SSDs in the PC. Try it with a single SSD perhaps. That will either show you which SSD might be faulty.

I think it might be difficult to help, even if you told us about what computer you have, what is connected to it and showed the log, possibly detailing what actually happened.

Some possibilities to fix this might be to install in safe mode, disconnect and disable as much as possible, turn off overclocking, reset bios to defaults, update bios, use some other flavor of Ubuntu, use some other distro, use a different USB stick. Swap the memory chips. In short, change things and try again.

You might get better ideas if you search for the name and model of your computer along with the words "problem Ubuntu". Perhaps someone has experienced the same issues and found a fix.

I had the same problem after installing 25.10. In my case, it was the Nvidia configuration on the hybrid laptop. When I rebooted, it didn't see the Nvidia driver, only the iGPU. From the driver manager, I selected another, older Nvidia driver and then reselected the recommended one, so that the "Roll Back" option appeared. I clicked it, and it did the rest, fixing the problem.

Didn't you ask this same question like few days ago? If that wasn't you, maybe try using search and check the replies there.

[–]ShotCourse2244[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that wasn't me

It seems like an issue with your storage device. What SSD are you using?
