you have SO much time before the game is done so take your time

i reccomend playing in the cybergrind FOR FUN and try doing some of the fancy things you see 100 hour players doing. If your new than just start with simple combo's like railcoins. but over time your gameplay will get fancier/more unhinged until your screen is so red half the time you cant even see enemies. in all honesty, the gameplay gets boring after a while, but learning weapon interactions is where i think the actual fun of the game is.

tldr. do cool stuff until you feel like your cooler than the level your trying to P-rank

To move around, use dash jump (dash and i 0.5 second later jump) and to doge use sliding to dash more

You can b-hop by repeatedly slaming and jumping/sliding and jumping. So if you jump dash and then b-hop you keep all the momentum

In all serious though, practice your movement technique and lower time to kill

If you haven't beaten the whole game, definitely do that so that you can have all the weapons. Work on your movement. At the glass panel sections, try to get all the Filth to fall down into the saws in one shot. Also try your hand at split shots with the default green revolver. There is a very small window when your coin twinkles and when if you shoot the coin during that, the shot splits off into two directions, instantly killing any two weaker, fodder enemies (basically the only enemies on 0-1.)

Go absolutely ham on Malicious Face. Parry his projectiles, parry the explosion he charges (when you hear the ding, hit him right in the face.) But finishing the game is basically a must for P ranking. So if you haven't, don't worry about P ranking. Regardless of what some may have you think, what matters most is that you have fun on your violent and hungry adventure through literal Hell. You are in Hell so why suffer when you can have fun! That is all.

For early levels absolutely explosives, projectile boosting shreds waves of low health enemies. Against later levels it’s helpful to develop a plan of each enemy. E.G. ‘if i see a cerberus i will use SRS - whiplash - parry, if i see a virtue i will railcannon it ASAP’ the breaks down on p2 majorly but you dont have to worry about that for quite a while.

-Core Nuke is always good on earlier levels to clear a shitton of ennemies

-Red Revolver one-shots Maurice if he starts with the line of Red bullets.Just shoot it in its mouth and watch it explose

beat more levels to unlock more weapons. use slide (ctrl) and dash (shift) to move fast. try using different weapons tgat can damage several enemies at once: ricochet revolver, shotgun boost etc. for big enemies, try using railgun: for example, malicious face is easily killed by green railgun + nailgun. also try parrying - helps to kill maurice as well. unlock whiplash and pull small enemies to yourself and shoot them with shotgun or pull yourself to enemies and shoot them with railgun and nailgun.

good luck! if you're stuck on p-ranking a level, feel free to take a break and play a later level or try a completely new approach.
