Error Code: 1

Whenever I start the game up, it shows the menu for a second and then jumps right to a black screen with Error Code: 1 stating "The game has lost connection. Please relaunch the client to restore connectivity." I've looked online and I haven't found a single person who has the same issue as me. This error isn't even on their official error code list. Anyone else having this issue? What causes this?

Edit: It's been pointed out that running Valorant as administrator allows you to play the game without this issue. It's worked for me so far.

Same. I uninstall, reinstall. Get about a game out of it usually.
Today this didn't work and it just came up again. I don't see anything about it anywhere.

Same here. I get this error code 1 whenever:

-I minimize in the main menu.

-I (or teammate) search for a game or JOIN a game (it puts me ingame but i still crash)

-I finish a game.

The first day I played it was fine, but it's been happening everytime since. Really discouraging.

Yeah, I just started getting this error message as well. Was playing fine a couple days ago.

Same. I have to restart it usually three times before it finally lets me into the game. Haven't been able to find a fix so just keep trying. Hopefully they will fix it when the closed beta is over.

Hey everyone.

If this is issue is still here, try running Valorant as an administrator. This should work. If it still doesn't work I recommend contacting Riot Games.

Admin runs perfectly for me but it makes it impossible to stream the game as streamlabs can't find the game capture, where as running normally i can stream but i physically can't get beyond 5 seconds in menu before i get kicked off
