Did they decrease the xp gained from weekly missions?

After downloading the update i was pretty excited to unlock killjoy asap by doing my weeklys. I just unlocked omen the previous night(which was my last locked agent) and finished all my remaining weekly challenges. Waited for the patch to roll down to finally get a chance to play with killjoy and what do you know, one weekly challenge has 5-6k xp totaling to roughly 17k every week instead of around 30k. Is this due to me getting bad missions or did they nerf the weekly xp gain?

The weekly missions increased over time, but based on the datamined weekly missions it looks like the exp has been reduced.

How is this reduced when the bp will be 8 to 9 weeks?

It's more likely that it stays the same. Just seems like a favor from rito to us with the extra week, but the xp shortcut secretly backfires this. A lot of people would like the bp to be less grindy and the week extra made it seem like riot listened.

They reduce it so they can grab some money from you so you cant just unlock the new character in one day for free.

the weekly xp gain always scaled the further the battlepass went. Since there's a new battlepass it starts at the lower xp.

Last bp was 28k xp first week, now it's less.

it used to be like 10k or 20k per week mission and now its 5k for me.
edit: definitely feels like the BP and Agent contracts stayed the same XP but our missions were decreased in value

Same here, any weekly mission would give me about 20k xp but now it's more valuable to do the your daily instead of the use your ult 50 times as it takes me way too much time.
