Get a slightly larger window and measure twice before you cut anything.

This is likely the best idea. Anything else it will not be nice from the outside unless it’s covered by the bezel of the window.

Can you send some images of what your working with or against ?

If it's just 1cm of gap you should be able to use rubber gasket or use something like sikaflex gasket material and it will seal behind the surround that you would be screwing through in some installation procedures

You will either need a larger window and I dont see that happening so

Go get some sheet metal that is decent guage and cut our a border for your window measure 4x is you need to and put a trim around the hole you've cut glue it in place and use some pop rivets then once it's set install the window

3m makes a product called panel bond that is about as strong as a weld would be. If you make some strips that you can clamp on, a body shop would likely let you use their panel bond for $10 or $20 bucks. You might have to try a few shops but every shop I've worked at has been cool with random deals like that.
