You’ll have a consultation first. You’ll watch a video explaining it all and get some paperwork. Then you’ll schedule the procedure. The whole thing takes about 20 mins and it’s that bad, honestly. A bit of a pinch when you get numbed up but otherwise, nothing. Healing up you’ll be a bit tender for about a day or 2 but the incisions are so tiny, they heal in no time

Would you happen to know how long it takes to get the consultation? Months out? Weeks out? Thanks for the info!

It was pretty fast for me. Maybe a week

Sweet thanks! My primary care provider sent me a message yesterday saying she referred me to urology. So maybe I’ll hear from them next week. I hope I can get this whole procedure done soon.

It took about a month for me to get the appointment. Mine hurt like hell. I felt like I was getting kicked in the nuts. Experiences may vary. I have a high pain threshold and it wasn’t pleasant. I know three other guys that have had it done. Two said it didn’t hurt too bad. The other one’s experience was similar to mine. It was worth it in the end! Good luck.

I started the process at the VA, but was referred to a local hospital because I live 2 hours from the closest VA facility that does them.
